One step away from a “outside” polymer knot. -Take “the loop” over the hook and it becomes a polymer knot, no need to cut multi line.

“Reverse” snell knot? -Can’t really tie it to the main line that way though?… it is fine on leader sure

I’ve caught a lot of Sthd on that pattern on the Rogue. Usually w a #2 or 4. Bug and bubbling. I tied a lot of variations of this and so successful. We doubled up on the lead and ran an egg and then a prince at the bottom. Lots of fun

I’d like to see that done with 5x tippet, no offense, great knot but it seems like when all the teaching goes on it’s with a higher gauge line or wire. Now I can’t tie this knot as you did, I’m knot”ha ha” bragging that I can but if I watched it two more times I wouldn’t have a problem doing it with 4 lb test. Great job though.

This knot isn’t the problem for your success, you’re better than that and you know it. If you wanted you could use a 3 way drop swivel and get the same results. Don’t sell yourself short.
And dont get me wrong at all, the guy may be talented. I can tie the blood knot w 5x w my eyes closed for years, then yesterday I went back to it after some time and it took me 15 times to get it done w my eyes open. Practice, practice, practice.

Moisture is key! Your knot will snap if its not lubricated when you pull it tight.

I've always been using this. But slightly differently. With two hooks on either side and the twisted side was attached to the main line ( with swivel ) :))
